MacKenzie Frenzy -

One of the first legal DH tracks to be built on crown land in Queensland is one of the fastest and most popular downhill tracks.  This track is most famous for it's most traditional Downhill style. The track holds two 25 foot jumps, a gnarly rock garden followed by what's known as Jared's booter, named after co-designer (Jared Graves), one of the fastest sections on the track. This is a black diamond run and extremely dangerous track, recommended for experienced riders only, and full face helmets are a must. Armour, gloves, goggles, (shoes) are also recommended. Average run times are looking at about 3:00 to 3:30.

Roller Cat -

Located at the base of Jubilee park, access via Amos Road (turn of highway onto Jones Rd near Withcott Pub)

  • Toowoomba's first legal MTB only singletrack.
  • Constructed by TMBC in 2005.
  • Flowy XC trail  4.5km in length.
  • 90m elevation gain/loss
If you want to ride to Roller Cat be prepared for a hard climb back to Toowoomba, most direct access from Toowoomba on a bike is from Harvey St VIA the Downhill Track.
A rain water tank is located at the base, although officially not for human consumption, so take plenty of water!

Turkey Trail -
  • TMBC's most recenlty constructed singletrack.
  • Approx 2km
  • 120m elevation gain/loss
A far better climb (mostly 10% grade) to the previous option of the fireroad that runs along side it. Tight singletrack that is quite fun to be ridden in the down direction.  Can be found from the top and bottom off the Crebra trail fireroad.

4-Cross -
Due to the agreement with the Showgrounds, this track is available ONLY to TMBC members. All non-club riders that wanto to ride it, wait for an open day or race, or even better, join the club. A map isn't included as to deter non-members from going out there illegally.

Recommended Rides -

Bridge St - Turkey Trail - Rollercat
  • Approx 13Km loop
  • 400m elevation gain/loss
  • Allow 1.5-2hrs
  • Moderate fitness required
Enter Jubilee park at the Bridge St quarryentrance. Follow the fireroad to the T-Junction and go right, there is a steep fast decent with a few waterbars (take care) followed by some more mostly DH fireroad, follow this until to see a sign that says Crebra trail. Cross the DH track (MacKenzie Frenzy) on the Crebra trail then about 30m down on the RHS you will see the entry to the Turkey trail (watch out for others riding in the other direction). When you have reached the bottom of Turkey trail, merge left onto Rollercat. After a loop on Rollercat it's back to bridge st the way you came. Remember to leave some fuel in the tank for the climb back out. The previously mentioned steep decent is probably the toughest part of the climb (25% grade) on the way back but is relatively short.
