Cross Country MTB

The Run Ride Race for Research is the first and largest multi-sport event to be held in the Toowoomba region. Aiming to raise over $50,000 for the It’s A Bloke Thing Prostate Cancer Luncheon.

For one day only, mountain bikers of all abilities and all ages will be able to ride a purpose built 4-5km cross-country trail at the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport. The trail will cater for beginner riders through to experienced riders with a range of technical elements to suit everyone.

$50.00 Pre-registered
$60.00 On the day
  • Entries Close -  17th July 2016
  • Riders in Elite, Expert and Masters will require a MTBA Race License or One Day License.

GRADINGS

ELITE -   Highest level of XC racing where riders would do a lot of training and carry a high level of fitness

EXPERT - Category for regulars on MTB race scene or racers from other disciplines who carry a medium to high level of fitness. Experienced Under 17 riders can choose this category.

MASTERS – Category for regulars on MTB race scene or racers from other disciplines who carry a medium to high level of fitness. For riders aged 40+.

SPORT – Category for newbies to the discipline and recreational riders and may have never entered a race before with low to medium level of fitness. No age restriction.

Junior U/15 – For the junior aged 14 and under who ride a bit or are new to the sport. The more experienced junior can choose to race in Sport.

PRIZE MONEY

Subject to entries, prize money and/or product will be paid to 5th place in all Categories for both Male and Female riders.

Elite and Expert categories will be guaranteed the following minimum prizes:

TIMING

Each event will be timed with a timing chip attached to your race plate.

PRACTICE

On the day riders are permitted to practice on the course after they have registered and received their race plate. Practice will be open from 8:30am until 15 minutes before the first scheduled race.

TENT SETUP


Teams and Clubs will be able to secure priority positions within the event circle for a fee of $100 that will go directly to the It’s a Blokes Thing Foundation.
